Handmade ceramic vase fired with a raku technique. Raku firing is a fast-paced Japanese ceramics technique where glazed pieces are removed from a hot kiln while still glowing red, then placed in a container of combustible material like sawdust. The container is then covered, starving the piece of oxygen in a process called "reduction". This creates unique, unpredictable metallic lusters and crackled glazes or matte black colors on unglazed clay.

Dimensions: 9.5 x 5 x 5”

Vintage wear consistent with age.

Please note that all product cost INCLUDES domestic shipping. Additional shipping WILL NOT be added upon checkout.
