Thursday Feb 12, 2026
6:00 - 8:30 PM
Join us at My Modern Oasis for an intimate, hands-on candle-making workshop that centers craft, process, and community.
Led by Chicago-based candle maker Daniel, this workshop guides guests through the fundamentals of candle making—from material selection and scent blending to pouring and finishing. The experience is designed to be relaxed and approachable, with plenty of room to experiment, ask questions, and make something truly personal.
Participants will create their own custom candle using a curated selection of vessels, fragrances, and dried florals. Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided; guests are welcome to BYOB if they’d like.
Beyond the making, the evening offers a chance to learn more about Daniel’s journey as a Latino entrepreneur and the cultural influences that shape his work. It’s a workshop rooted not just in technique, but in story, care, and shared experience.
Whether this is your first time pouring a candle or you’ve worked with wax before, all skill levels are welcome. Come slow down, make with your hands, and spend an evening in good company.
