Art Showcase Opening | March 20 | 6:30–9:30 PM

In celebration of Black History Month, extended into March as a continued honoring of creative excellence, join us for an intimate evening featuring three Black artists whose practices explore identity & culture.

Hosted at My Modern Oasis, a luxury showroom showcasing vintage, antique, and local art, this gathering brings together visual storytelling within a refined, design forward setting.

Featured Artists

Ornella
A Yale trained environmental engineer turned visual artist, Ornella creates atmospheric portraits that embrace fragmentation and visible process, revealing beauty in transition, vulnerability, and becoming.

Emeka
Rooted in emotive minimalism, Emeka uses restraint to foreground feeling, symbolism, and narrative. His work distills complex themes into powerful, contemplative forms.

Naomi Coke
An ancestral place based designer and land artist grounded in her Jamaican Maroon lineages, Naomi Coke centers land, memory, and inherited knowledge in a practice that honors ecology and diasporic identity.

Guests are welcome to arrive at 6:30 PM to view the exhibition, meet the artists, and mingle. A grazing table and light beverages will be served throughout the evening.

At 8:00 PM, an artist talk will explore identity and culture in relation to creative practice, and what it means to navigate artistic expression in the modern world.
